Best Vibrators for Beginners and Picking Out Your First Vibrator!

If your ready to buy your first vibrator, how do you choose. Hopefully, we can shed some light on this subject for you.

Generally speaking, when picking out your first vibrator, you’ll get what you pay for. That’s not to say that you need to spend a lot of money, but just be aware of what you’re getting.

Lelo Mia 2

In the picture above (left) is the Rose Luxuriate by Blush Novelties. A true beginner vibrator for the beginner. This vibrator is available in our store for $19.95. The Lelo Mia 2 on the right is available in our store for $77.50. Lelo is considered a luxury brand, and the Mia 2 would be a great choice for a beginner as well.

Power Source

So let’s look at the difference. The Rose Luxuriate is powered by 2 AA batteries while the Mia 2 is USB rechargeable.  That means no buying batteries every time you want to have some playtime.

The Mia 2 will fully charge in about an hour and give you about 90 minutes of run time. The Rose Luxuriate will give you about the same run time before the batteries need to be replaced.

Size

The Rose Luxuriate is a larger unit with a total length of 7″ while the Mia 2 measures in at 4″. While the Mia 2 is smaller, it packs a good punch so to speak, and some of your decision will be based on your intended use.

Playing in the water.

The Lelo Mia 2 is a waterproof massager while the Rose Luxuriate is not.

Control

The Lelo Mia 2 has 6 different settings from a teasing murmur to a satisfying pulse. The Rose Luxuriate is controlled via a twist base which adjusts the variable speed of the vibrations.

Materials

The materials that make up the vibrators are more imortant than you think. Both of these vibrators are phthalate and latex free, and any vibrator you buy should state this. All of the toys in our store are phthalate and latex free and manufactured for your safety. We will not recommend any vibrator made from materials that could be bad for your health. Be careful of purchasing from any site that imports from China or other countries that don’t follow common sense in safety standards.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are some big differences between these two units. Many people start out with a less expensive vibrator to see if it’s something they’ll enjoy (yes, you will enjoy it), and then purchase a better quality later. Others prefer a better unit from the git-go without going into the $150 to $200 range that the high quality luxury brands cost. The choice is up to you. We hope that we’ve at least shown you the differences so that you know what to expect.
